Swell Summit FAQs

Are Swell Summit tickets still available?
No: we are completely oversubscribed and have 70+ waitlisters. At this stage we are advising people who don’t have a ticket that your best option is to sign-up for our newsletter for further 2015 Swell events. Do not come to the airport on Saturday if you don’t have a confirmed ticket via Eventbrite.

Can I drop-in for a few sessions even if I don’t have a ticket?
Eh no. Sorry.

Do I need to print my ticket?
No, we are doing paperless ticketing. Just tell us your name and we’ll figure out the rest.

How do I choose the sessions I would like to attend?
Firstly look at the schedule. Then the best way to make sure you get to attend your preferred sessions is by completing this short survey before Friday morning. After that, you will have to pick your sessions at registration on Saturday morning. Remember some sessions will have limited capacity so get here early if you don’t want to be disappointed.

Will there be coffee & grub?
Yes. Our friends at Shells are catering the Swell Summit so expect something very nice in your lunch bag. We’ll have coffee in the morning and afternoon but due to limited facilities at the airport it won’t be posh coffee. So if you want a good coffee, go to Shells first. They’re open at 9 on Saturday so plenty of time to get one before registration.

We will have a few veggie / vegan lunchbags to hand, please tell us at registration if you want one of these so that there are no disappointed faces at lunchtime.

Will there be filming on the day?
We won’t be streaming the event or posting all speaker sessions online afterwards but we are capturing the event on camera so if you don’t want to be in it please tell us at registration.

Social Media
We are using #swellsligo for social media updates. We’d love if you joined the conversation.

Is there WiFi?
Yes, thank you Fastcom Telecom

Can I get there by public transport?
Yes, Bus Eireann have buses running to and from town all day. See the timetable here.

Is there parking at the airport?
There is LOTS of free parking at the airport.

What else is happening?
Well weather dependent, there will be a lovely lunchtime walk option to Killaspugbrone with Shambles.

There will also be some fun lunchtime workshops that you can sign up for on Saturday morning.

The airport bar will be open for some local craft beers at the end of the day; Mark from Blue Stack Records will be spinning some records to round off the day. Do join us.
